John decides to go right today on his way to Asda instead of his usual left. He’s sick of the same old roads and same old scenery; it’s time for something new, something different. There won’t be anymore texts that would pop up and interrupt his peaceful stroll, he’s got too much time on his hands.
Sherlock stays on the normal route he usually goes when he chooses to drop by involuntarily to visit John. He says visit, but it’s more like spying round the corner, or inside a cafe, observing. He’s cut his hair and dyed it a random shade of auburn and he hasn’t shaved in two days. He wears light colours instead of his usual dark wool and navy silk. Today he isn’t Sherlock Holmes, he’s just a passerby with an intention to blend into the crowd.
But you see, John Watson can recognise Sherlock Holmes anywhere. Bald, injured, as a ghost, half alive, or dead, with his skull smashed in and his blood coating the grey pavement— his dreams of silver eyes and ice has made him more aware than he ever thought possible.
And so they meet. With exactly 67 metres of space between them; their eyes come into contact and the rest of the world immediately drains away.
Time begins to rewind itself.
Slytherin - Moran & Moriarty & Irene
Gryffindor - John
Ravenclaw - Sherlock
Hufflepuff - Lestrade & Molly
Continue..This is beautiful. (Though my headcanon places John in Hufflepuff, Lestrade in Gryffindor, and includes older brother Slytherin Prefect Mycroft).
John is definitely a Gryffindor in my opinion.
